I'm just looking at Conviviality - CVR where the quality rank seems to have shot up by 19 points in the last couple of days without any news. I can understand that value and momentum will change constantly as prices fluctuate, but I would have thought quality would be fairly stable, just changing when results or other major news is announced.

There must be a catch to this. Simply cancel a losing trade within one hour if the market goes against you? Has anyone here used them? Does anyone know the small print. https://lnd.easymarkets.com/eu/en/dealcancellation/?utm_source=MediaGroupWW&utm_medium=Banner&utm_term=&utm_placement={placement}&utm_content=EM_DealCancellation&utm_campaign=Brand&utm_ef_channel=Push&utm_ef_promotion=dealcancellation

I see that today's Stockopedia performance charts show that the top vigintile of momentum shares, i.e. those with 95-100 Momentum rank and market cap above £10m have doubled since Stockopedia started monitoring performance. The chart shows a gain of 100.27% which compared with a gain of just 66.87% for the equivalent QVM Stockrank vigintile. Food for thought! It is interesting that the 95-100 Momentum rank…

One of the most surprising thinks about Robbie "Naked Trader" Burns latest book is that you can actually buy it! If you look on Amazon it tells you that the book will not be released until September. However I ordered my copy from Harriman House yesterday and it arrived this morning. If you go to The Naked Trader website you can get a discount code…

Some time ago there was a lot of talk on here about the possibility of Stockopedia setting up an investment trust/unit trust or similar based on the stockranks. Has that idea now fallen by the wayside?

Yes, but the point is, it does not seem to explain a downturn in current year revenues and profits which should receive a boost from the placement fees, whatever the long term effect.

When a contract worker takes a permanent job at the company they are working for there is usually a commission paid to the agency. Most employment agencies welcome this, it's quite lucrative for them.

Interesting comments, but when you look at the YTD performance of the stockranks, the top decile QVM stocks have returned 8.67% compared to 7.12% for the top decile QM rank. The top decile QV shares have returned 9.84% and VM 7.9%. It is interesting that the bottom decile momentum rank stocks have outperformed significantly with a return of 14.87% YTD. Perhaps we are witnessing a…

"One of the great advantages of being diversified is that it gives one the courage to cut losses quickly rather than hang on in the hope things will get better." Wilkonz, good post, and 100% agreement from me on this point. One of the biggest benefits of diversification is psychological. It's much easier to behave rationally when your investment in a share is small. When…

Those 0% credit card charges can be misleading. For cash withdrawals you are charged interest from the time of withdrawal and if you are overseas you might not settle your card bill on time. I have been using a Fair FX foreign exchange card for a couple of years now and it is certainly cheaper than the charges made by my banks for overseas transactions.…
