About Me:

I am currently working in the FinTech industry and have an interest in investing in my spare time.

Investment Strategy
I trade... monthly
I tend to buy... after much research
I hold for... years
I invest with... <£10k
Diversification is ... essential to reduce risk
I have started a facebook group for like-minded UK investors, called UK Investor Worldwide. Please look it up and join. I look for growth and value stocks, I have some favourite authors on the subject and often review their strategies to help me on my long term journey to succesful investing. These include Lynch, Buffett, Slater and Burns aka the Naked Trader to name but a few. I have a medium to high risk tolerance, that said I look to minimise risk with stop losses and fundamentally 'strong' companies (there is the odd exception).

Just finished watching this new doco on Netflix, quite a dramatic look into Chinese listed companies on the US exchanges and some of the people trying to expose dodgy practices. Worth a watch and a timely reminder to do your own research!

Hi All I was wondering if there would be any interest in a meetup just north of the border. Nothing serious, just to connect, have a few drinks and discuss on some of our favorite investments. If there was enough interest I could setup a FB group to organised. Cheers EI

Hi All I'm interested in understanding what impact we individual investors as a whole have on the price movements of a stock vs the larger institutions and funds. I understand there will be obvious factors such as market cap, volume, institutional ownership, index listing etc that would need to be considered on a company by company basis. I am aware of certain benefits we have…

I'm wondering what peoples thoughts are on potential opportunities in the renewable energy sector off the back of this announcement. It does seem like an area poised for growth as a continuing problem we can't ignore. The stock rank of the listed UK companies here don't look too appealing, however could this be a turning point? For example Powerhouse Energy (LON:PHE) apparently specialises in converting…

This company came onto the AIM on 26 October 2016. According to their website Van Elle Holdings (LON:VANL) 'is the UK's largest ground engineering contractor. The Group offers a wide range of geotechnical techniques and services to customers in a variety of construction end markets.' I have had my eye on this one but was waiting for it to recieve a stock rank. It now…

Ted Baker (LON:TED) RNS 3 mins before market closed!!!??? I just hit sell all at that point for a decent loss. Will buy back in at some point if things turn for the better.

Ted Baker (LON:TED) getting hammered still, institutional investors running for the hills.

I'm sniffing around Frontier Developments (LON:FDEV) its been battered as part of the recent 'correction' who's with me :)

Don't forget there are passive funds as well charging 0.7 or less. Same exposure but without the brokerage charges.

Bearing in mind he is a momentum trader not a long term investor. So the recent dips would look a lot more attractive to the latter.
