Following on from a couple of other posts regarding US brokers. I trade with tight stops and so even a 1% forex fee (typical for ISA international trades) each way adds up to substantially affect my position size when limiting my risk per trade. Finding it very difficult/ next to impossible to find a broker who doesn't charge forex, holds in ISA etc... In fact…

Is anyone looking at Serica recent acquisition announced last week and have any thoughts on it value and future for the company? It appears to be a step change for the company taking it from around 3k boe to over 21k with no fund raising, no debt and already making circa $20mill profit from existing erskine platform alone with a number See transaction pres here:…

Hi all. Does anyone know any brokers that allow trading on the Indian stock market - NSE?was under impression India had changed rules to allow foreign buyers?Cheers.

I wanted to gauge the community opinion on Lakehouse (LON:LAKE). Obviously Paul Scott has written extensively about it in his SCVR and generally believes that, in time, it will come round. I currently have quite a large position in this company, should have used a stop loss some time ago but was with Charles Stanley who didnt provide one and only just transferred to new…

Could someone explain the point/ cause/ implication of when a stock lists a "Price Monitoring Extension" ? Is this a regular occurrence for all stocks, or does it imply an issue with the stock? Many thanks!

Hi, thanks, yep I looked into IG. As you say 0.3% is a massive improvement but still a fair wack, i think £30 on a £10k trade. I think my main aversion is probably not very logical that its IG and I don't really like their business model/ them as a company! I guess in reality they're probably quite a stable company to house your…

Depends what you're looking at but I think that's fairly normal on sub 100mill or even larger on extremend busy times like you say. Had same with II and td direct and bulletin boards mention it ....naked trade I think it's called? Would imagine it's a market thing not a broker specific thing?

I'm in same boat. Pretty much come to the conclusion to use an IG Isa account, not spreadbet. Forex charge is 0.3% for the isa account so not bad and good dealing rates. £6 i think for half frequent trades. Much better than the frankly ludicrous 1.5% that many charge. If your money is already in an isa it must be the most important thing…

Petro. I've no intention selling anytime soon. A short shutdown that affects alot of other oilers has no impact on the short/ med or long term investment case here. The value is I the deal that begins cash gen in Jan. Hopefully the production will start asap but any dip will be very short lived in my opinion.

Afraid not. I think you pretty much ignore Keith. Rhum being the jewel in the crown. Some links below to some other peeps calcs and barons summary of the peel hunt note. Yes I know Twitter but makes for interesting reading
