AIM IHT relief is the product of a, probably not very well thought out, move to help small family businesses survive death of an owner. The intention was never to create a means to avoid IHT for private investors portfolios, so HMRC are unlikely to to be very moved by anyone wanting information to make it easier for them to do so.
