On 3 May 2013 QPP announced the acquisition of Quindell Property Services Ltd for a consideration of 65,978,572 shares with a further 190m shares being issued if profit targets are met. Prior to this, on 1 February 2013 Quindell Property Services Ltd was incorporated at Companies House with a share capital of one £1 share. The founding shareholder ? Quindell Portfolio plc.

Good analysis of Kier. Shareholders put in £255m in a rights issue and get about a fifth of that back in dividends which are then taxed? Insane.

The first short on Burford has been declared today too.

Is it? They recognised the gains whilst there was a binary chance they would have to surrender them back to the buyer. Selling this with a put option seems odd - was it an exercise in getting some badly needed cash into the business?
