Investment Strategy
I trade... monthly
I tend to buy... after much research
I hold for... years
I invest with... <£500k
Diversification is ... essential to reduce risk
Seek to make contrarian value and GARP purchases of simple to understand businesses with a bias to consumer stocks. Very few purchases of true Technogy or Mining Stocks. Specific sub-sector interest in sub-prime consumer lending and specialist financial companies Long investment horizon - typically 2-3 years, certainly not a trader Prefer concrete evidence of balance sheet strength an/or other economic moats esp. mkt share Value Stockopedia rankings and generally follow but also keen to find a few 'diamonds in the making' ie poorly ranked companies since believe this is where big wins can come from if you are willing to research and challenge assumptions. Always keep relatively large cash sum for buying opportunities
