ArcAroma AB is a Sweden-based company. It owns CEPT, a patented technology designed for biological purification and hygiene of pumpable products and the production of food oils, biogas production, sewage treatment, water purification and medical research. The technology is based on pulsed electric field (PEF) or nonthermal short-term high voltage pulses, which processes cells by creating pores or blast cell membranes and other structures, killing undesirable microorganisms or releasing encapsulated nutrition. It finds application in four industries: Energy, aiming to improve the production of biogas and reduce greenhouse gas emissions; Food, aiming to improve the quality and extraction grade of products, such as oils or fruit juices; Water, providing treatment technology utilized to effectively kill microorganisms and Health, developing new ways to use the CEPT platform in the med-tech field. The platform easily integrates with existing production lines.
