Atacama Copper Corporation is a Canada-based resource company focusing on acquiring, exploring, and developing base and precious metals properties in the Americas. The principal business of the Company is to identify, explore and evaluate mineral properties in Chile and elsewhere in the Americas. It holds 76 mining concessions through its ownership of the El Cofre and Placeton projects in Chile. The Company is engaged in advancing the exploration and development of its Placeton/Caballo Muerto copper project in Chile. The Company’s Placeton/Caballo Muerto project hosts several porphyry copper targets situated between the giant Relincho and El Morro/La Fortuna copper-gold deposits of the Nueva Union joint venture between Teck and Newmont Mining. The Placeton/Caballo Muerto project has approximately 7,257 hectares (ha) exploitation concessions. The El Cofre has 7,628 ha exploitation and 1,100 exploration concessions.
