BUZZ-Autoliv: Berenberg sees no short-term catalyst for robust stock

Thu 15th April, 2021 8:04am
** Berenberg initiates Autoliv ALV.N / ALIVsdb.ST , the
world's largest producer of airbags and seatbelts, with "hold",
saying it likes the company's steady growth and dominant market
position but thinks the stock is fully valued
** "We are struggling to see meaningful positive catalysts
in the short term, while volume uncertainties and adverse raw
material developments could cap upside to earnings and guidance
in 2021," the broker says
** Berenberg notes Autoliv's lack of direct exposure to
industry megatrends, such as electrification and advanced driver
assistance systems (ADAS), gives it lower scope for content
growth
** However, the company's robust position in passive safety
market sets it up for moderate but steady growth, the broker
adds
** It says that while M&A opportunities appear limited, the
company's strong FCF (free cash flow) leaves room for higher
shareholder distribution, seeing potential for share buybacks
for 2021-2023
** Out of 19 analysts that cover Autoliv, five rate the
stock "strong buy" or "buy," 13 "hold" and one "sell",
