          Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant Announces the Appointment of New CEO          

Chelyabinsk, Russia - December 29, 2014 - On Friday, December 26, the Board of
Directors of Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant (LSE, MICEX-RTS: CHZN) decided to appoint
Pavel Izbrekht as General Director of JSC CZP.

About Pavel Izbrekht

Pavel Izbrekht from 2002 to 2011 occupied position of Head of Law Department at
JSC "SUMZ". From 2011 to 2012 - Director on Legal and Corporate Affairs at LLC
"UMMC-NFMP". Since May 2012 - Sales and Marketing Director at LLC "UMMC-NFMP".

Mr. Izbrekht graduated with honors from the Ural State Law Academy, majoring in
Jurisprudence, PhD in Law.

About Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant

Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant is the leading Russian zinc producer. In 2013 the plant
produced 166,357 tonnes of saleable SHG zinc.

According to consolidated IFRS accounts, revenue in 2013 was RUB 13,062 mln and
EBITDA was RUB 1,077 mln.

Ordinary shares of CZP are traded on the Moscow exchange MICEX-RTS under ticker
