NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release - April 23, 2015 Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant Announces 1% Production Increase in Q1 2015 Chelyabinsk, Russia - April 23, 2015 - Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant (LSE, MICEX-RTS: CHZN), Russia's largest producer of zinc and zinc alloys, is pleased to announce its production results for the three months, ended March 31, 2015. Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant (CZP) produced 44,884 tonnes of salable SHG zinc and zinc based alloys in Q1 2015, an increase of 1% as compared to Q1 2014 (44,503 tonnes). 65% of metal was supplied to the domestic market (Q1 2014: 58%). CZP's affiliated company, Nova Zinc LLC, operator of Akzhal zinc and lead ore mine in Kazakhstan, produced 8,892 tonnes of zinc in zinc concentrate in Q1 2015, 1.6% more than in Q1 2014 (8,756 tonnes). Lead in lead concentrate production increased by 15% to 1,842 tonnes (vs. 1,599 tonnes in Q1 2014). CZP's subsidiary, The Brock Metal Company Limited (the leading UK supplier of zinc die-casting alloys) sold 9,603 tonnes of zinc alloys in Q1 2015, an increase by 38% as compared to Q1 2014 (6,945 tonnes). About Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant is the leading Russian zinc and zinc alloys producer. In 2014 the plant produced 168,601 tonnes of salable SHG zinc. According to consolidated IFRS accounts, revenue in 2013 was RUB 13,062 mln and EBITDA was RUB 1,077 mln.
