OSLO, Feb 2 (Reuters) - Norway wants the states belonging to the European Economic Area (EEA) to reciprocate the systemic risk buffer requirement for banks, the Nordic country's ministry of finance said on Tuesday. Non-EU Norway, which is a member of the European common market, has requested the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB) to issue such a recommendation to other EEA states, it added. Since the beginning of this year, a new systemic risk buffer requirement for Norwegian banks was set at 4.5 percent for domestic exposures, up from 3 percent previously.
