BUZZ-India's HDFC Bank falls 4%, drags Nifty 50, bank indexes down

** Shares of India's largest private lender  HDBK.NS  fall
as much as 4.23% to 1,488 rupees, their biggest intra-day
percentage drop in a month
    ** The bank said on Tuesday some of its customers were
facing intermittent issues in accessing its internet banking and
mobile banking application. The issue was resolved later (https://bit.ly/3ftN3Nl)
    ** HDBK was the top drag in the bluechip Nifty 50 index
 .NSEI  as well as Nifty bank index  .NSEBANK , pulling them
down 0.7% and 1.5%, respectively
    ** HDBK shares gained over 6% in the past two sessions    
    ** India's central bank last December placed curbs on the
bank from adding new credit card customers or launching digital
businesses after its digital payment services were hit by a

    ** With nearly 15 million credit cards HDFC Bank has the
country's highest market share of about 26%
    ** Shares of non-banking finance company Housing Development
Finance Corp  HDFC.NS  also down 3.7%
    ** HDBK shares are up 8.2% so far this year as of last
close, while HDFC is up 1.8%
