Profile Summary
II-VI Incorporated develops, manufactures, and markets engineered materials, optoelectronic components, and devices for use in optical communications, industrial, aerospace and defense, and others. The Company operates through two segments: Photonic Solutions, and Compound Semiconductors. The Photonic Solutions Segment leverages II-VI’s compound semiconductor technology platforms and deep knowledge of end-user applications for its key end markets to deliver differentiated components and subsystems. The Compound Semiconductors Segment provides engineered materials and optoelectronic devices such as those based on gallium arsenide (GaAs), indium phosphide (InP), gallium nitride (GaN), and silicon carbide (SiC). Its optical communications products consist of two groups: optical transmission and optical transport. Its optical transmission products consist primarily of transmitters, receivers, transceivers, transponders, and active optical cables.
