Feb 25 (Reuters) - German chipmaker Infineon IFXGn.DE said on Thursday it had appointed Constanze Hufenbecher as chief digital transformation officer, a newly-created a role that will help integrate its $10 billion acquisition of U.S. Cypress Technologies. The appointment of Hufenbecher, formerly chief financial officer at Lufthansa Technik, expands the management board to five members and comes just ahead of the Munich-based company's annual general meeting. Infineon also said that the supervisory board would, at its next meeting in May, extend the contract of Chief Financial Officer Sven Schneider by a further five years. Schneider joined Infineon in 2019 from industrial gases group Linde. (Reporting by Douglas Busvine Editing by Riham Alkousaa) ((douglas.busvine@tr.com; +49 30 220 133 562;))
