Turkey - Factors to Watch on Feb 10

ISTANBUL, Feb 10 (Reuters) - Here are news, reports and
events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Monday.
    The lira  TRYTOM=D3  traded at 5.9795 against the dollar at
0518 GMT, firming from its close on Friday of 6.0150.
    The yield on the benchmark 10-year bond  TR10YT=RR  rose to
10.67% on Friday from 10.50% on Thursday.
    The main BIST 100 share index  .XU100  fell 1.04% on Friday
to 121,015.14 points.
    
    GLOBAL MARKETS
    Asian shares pared early losses on Monday as Chinese
authorities lifted some coronavirus-related restrictions on work
and travel, helping businesses resume work though overall
sentiment was still jittery as the death toll from the epidemic

    BDDK ON FOREX SWAPS
    Turkey's banking watchdog BDDK said on Sunday it was cutting
the limit for Turkish banks' forex swap, spot and forward
transactions with foreign entities to 10% of a bank's equity.
The BDDK had previously set the limit at 25% in August 2018.

    FEES BANKS CAN CHARGE COMMERCIAL CLIENTS
    The Turkish Central Bank said on Monday the number of fees
that banks can charge their commercial clients for products and
services had been reduced to 51 items under a regulation to

    ERDOGAN SCHEDULE
    President Tayyip Erdogan will speak at an opening ceremony
for the Information and Communication Technologies Authority's
new cyber-security centre (1030 GMT). He will then chair a
meeting of his AK Party's central decision and executive board
(1200 GMT).
    
    UNEMPLOYMENT DATA  TRUNR=ECI 
    The Turkish Statistical Institute will announce unemployment
data for the October-December period (0700 GMT).
    
    TREASURY SWITCH AUCTIONS 
    The Treasury will hold four switch auctions (1100 GMT). It
will switch one floating rate note, one CPI-indexed bond and two
zero-coupon bonds maturing this year with CPI-indexed bonds

    SYRIA
    Turkey reinforced its military presence in Syria's
northwestern Idlib province on Saturday as Turkish and Russian
officials held talks about the Syrian government offensive
there, which has displaced more than half a million people in

    On Sunday, a senior official said Turkey has sent major
reinforcements to Syria's northwestern Idlib region and "all
options are on the table", as Ankara tries to stem rapid

    The lender announced its net profit last year fell to 6.07
