BUZZ-European Telecoms: Citi expects sector to show coronavirus resilience

** Citigroup says it expects European telecoms to show
resilience to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the
resulting economic downturn 
    ** The brokerage says its top picks remain Vodafone  VOD.L ,
Orange  ORAN.PA , Telefonica Deutschland  O2Dn.DE  and OTE
 OTEr.AT , all rated "buy"
    ** It sees Telefonica Deutschland as the least affected
financially, while OTE the worst-hit with Orange in the middle
but with weak competitors
    ** Citi's least preferred names are Altice  ATCA.AS  and BT
Group  BT.L  rated "neutral" and Liberty Global  LBTYA.O  and
Telia  TELIA.ST  rated "sell"
    ** Citi says operators with high leverage and high exposure
to small and medium companies and content are likely to struggle
    ** It upgrades Proximus  PROX.BR  to "neutral" from "sell"
saying it foresees growth from 2022 onwards and says the worst
seems to be behind
    ** It raises Tele2  TEL2b.ST  from "neutral" to "buy",
saying the company ranks well in its COVID-19 assessment
    ** The broker says it believes BT Group  BT.L  will be the
last incumbent to cut its dividend, following Proximus  PROX.BR 
and Telia  TELIA.ST      
    ** It keeps a "buy" rating on 1&1 Drillisch  DRIG.DE , NOS
SGPS  NOS.LS , Koninklijke KPN  KPN.AS , Telenor  TEL.OL  and
Telecom Italia  TLIT.MI     
    ** It maintains "neutral" on Deutsche Telekom  DTEGn.DE ,
Telenet Group Holding  TNET.BR , Orange Belgium  OBEL.BR  and
Swisscom  OBEL.BR  as well as  "sell" on Elisa  ELISA.HE  and
Sunrise Communications  SRCG.S
