Notification of major holdings

LONDON, 6 OCTOBER 2022

In compliance with paragraph 3.83(b) of the JSE Listings Requirements,
shareholders are advised that Gemfields received formal notification on 5
October 2022 of a change of major holdings from Rozendal Associate Holdings
(Rational Expectations Ltd). Following Gemfields' issuance and allocation of
20,144,730 new ordinary shares on 5 October 2022, Rozendal Associate Holdings'
total positions reduced from 10.03 per cent of voting rights to 9.96 per cent
of voting rights. The total number of shares held by Rozendal Associate
Holdings is unchanged, holding a total of 120,094,065 ordinary shares.

Rozendal Associate Holdings' completed TR-1 form has been released separately.
