The Company’s food manufacturing segment, which is an aggregation of the separate segments of savory pastry and cake and desserts manufacturing, is engaged in the production and sale of food products to third party customers, and the investing and management services segment incurs central costs, provides management services and financing to its other segments. Its portfolios include NMT Group and Shire Foods. NMT Group is a medical devices company that developed a safety syringe to prevent needlestick injury.
