I have been using moneyam for live pricing with live volume prices as well. Unfortunately, they are been took over. Does anyone know a good comparable L1 service provider?

I was hoping you'd get a raft of replies as I have always found that the MoneyAM 'Stockwatch' to be the best thing since sliced bread, giving (albeit contended) live prices and a click-through news alert flag along with everything else you could need for an immediate overview.

I'm currently trying Yahoo Finance which seems OK but the prices are delayed and there is no 'news' flag. Indeed the News element is pretty useless. I'll have to rely on Investegate I suppose.

I'd be glad to also hear of good alternatives.

You could try this which has some live prices, although from some alt trading venues venues like BATS & chi-x,  but not smaller stocks which tend to be delayed . It's free to sign up and has premium version offering access to research, but free option has lots of excellent free stuff including charts & estimate consensus / revision data which is really useful too.

And / or you could use a Google sheet which can pull in financial data from Google finance including live prices (in UK).
Hope this helps
Jamie

To be honest, I would like Stocko to offer this. Most of us want a one stop shop where we can get everything, and the 2 areas where I think Stocko could improve are charting, where the prices are simply not granular enough (try doing a one week or one month chart and it is useless compared to say tradingview) and live prices. If Money AM and ADVFN can provide them for free (albeit with banner ads and a crappy, unstable platform in the latter's case) I wonder how much it would cost for Stocko to add the facility on.

Rojo, it's moving to the Shares Mag website (so 'yes' re AJ Bell). Subs are £33/qtr. Their 'Stockwatch' looks similar and is real time but doesn't seem to have the News flag as far as I can see.

A friend of mine recently recommended this website (I haven’t used it as the Stockopedia statistics are enough for me at the moment).

https://www.alphavantage.co

They claim:
- Free APIs in JSON and CSV formats
- Realtime and historical stock data
- FX and cryptocurrency feeds
- 50+ technical indicators
