Is this a new gismo that we all should have? This will be followed by KiK Plans. The share price this week has been off the scale, but will it all catch on? I noticed Hargreaves bought into them in August, so is it a BUY, SELL, or HOLD? What goes up usually comes down much faster. Check out the chart below over 1 week! This is also sold on amazon. Could be good.

700 club gold member. Anniversary yesterday 1/10/2013. Recently returned from New York with a wish to see Wall Street for myself as a bit of a satisfying accomplishment. I first got interested in investments when I was a financial advisor for 14 years. I learned a lot & went to quite a few investment seminars. The one I remember particularly was with Fidelity. They visited the companies that they invested in and held them for a long duration in their portfolios. The other thing was with different currencies that they could buy a particular stock with and of course sell it if it was favourable with another currency. This was potentially more risky of course. It was not long before I realised that all the money from the insurance premiums had to be invested and who was doing it. We used to sell investment bonds where 5% was allowed to be taken tax free once a year on the anniversary of the policy which could run for 20 years.There was a choice of Managed, Property, or Equity to invest into. It was at this point of time that the Property fund went up 40% in less than a year. A simple comparison with the Managed and Equity funds showed the difference. I was soon taking a keen interest in unit trusts and shares, looking for things that were going up and the highest that they had been and bought them. I bought a software package with Up-data which enabled me to be much more efficient, putting stop losses in. Drummed into my head was cut your losses and sell when a stock breached the stop loss and let the profits run. Another stepping stone was to buy myself a Rolls Royce silver shadow that was chestnut brown in colour. The reasons were threefold. 1. That I could afford it. 2. The two managers for the insurance company that I was working for were called Douglas & Rolls. 3. I was still single. As well as doing the insurance business I joined an investment club in Basingstoke and became their chairman. We closed it this year sadly because of ill health with some of the members. Now I have a portfolio that I am able to take out (if & when I want to some cash) just like the insurance bonds but much more flexible. I enjoy the technology stocks and have taken profits several times from Arm Holdings which is the only share that I have held for many years now. Having just got this Stockopedia yesterday (first saw it at an investment seminar in London earlier this year) when I noticed Dart Group (DTG) so that is now in my portfolio too. I suppose you could say I am an analyst & a chartist. It was good to see my portfolio already has Globo, , Blinks, Clingen ,Dart, Wanddisco, opay,Easyjet ,LLoyds Arm Telicom Plus(which has doubled and a bit more but then started to drop so I have just sold almost half and re invested the proceeds into ASOS.) In conclusion I hold about 20 shares, and have just INCREASED my holdings in Globo about two weeks ago, and noticed someone has reduced their holding with Globo to 3%.I hope they are not still holding the poor pawnbroker shares (guess who) -40% in one day followed by further catastrophic drop. A good case for a stoploss . Join the 700 club and put some money to work I say. more »

Not one for me. I looked at this about 12 months ago. Bought one of the orbs to test out. It worked pretty well to be honest but is this the next big thing? I would say yes a few years back but the truth is this technology has already migrated onto smart phones. Great win for the companies long term suffering share holders though.

Making further enquiries into this software it appears that the software was first launched onto the smartphones about 3 weeks ago & with the TV advertising coming up to Christmas could also increase the sales. Not everybody's cup of tea, but that seems to be the reason for the huge surge in the share price over just one week. Will it continue I wonder? Only time will tell. Might be worth trying. Nothing ventured nothing gained,... but probably a bit late to get in. Worth watching. Good to know it worked well for you big gav.

online health device minnow Fitbug (FITB:AIM) rocketed 313.3% higher to 1.55p on news that US retail giant Target (TGT:NYSE) and UK supermarket Sainsbury’s (SBRY) will stock its products in their wearables ranges from next month. Thats why i thinkit shot up

In for a penny out for a few pounds bought held about 3hrs & just sold. The early bird catches the worm, so they say. up about 40% & out with a healthy profit. Not many chances like that. It's got to be a lightning strike to be sure!
I think the software is getting into the mobile phone market around the world & being downloaded There is 25.8 million shares traded today at 13:20pm, I think the highest number so far, but when is it going to stop?

If I had the balls to short I would have. Silly valuation achieved this week for a company that has never made a profit peddling yesterdays technology.

There has still been over 32million shares traded today with a price range of 3.35p to 6.0p.They may not have made a profit yet, but it does not mean we can't make one. Still plenty of scope for some more deals perhaps?
This could be simply be another setback, getting ready for a setup for a comeback!
Certainly still worth watching. Another day another $. Another day of profit thanks Fitbug.

This has gone silly with another 40 odd % up today. Clearly way overvalued! I went in to Sainsbury in last Friday expecting to see a big promotion display for Fitbug, only to find that only 2 were ordered, not even on display, and no sales at all. In fact they were unable to locate where the 2 Fitbugs were.
Amazon might be selling some but this share price is defying gravity an surely cannot continue.

As I understand it this is a product like the Nike fuelband and a host of others. I only specify Nike because they do a host of other things and as a result could look at the market see the intergration of smart watches and health apps coming in the next couple of years and bail out.

Fitbit cannot bail like Nike as it only has this market to play in.

That said my understanding is that if you want a health tracker today the Fitbit products are generally very well regarded.

But like Nike I believe that in the next couple of years everything you can do with a Fitbit and its cloud services, will be provided more easily on either your watch or your smartphone or indeed both. Definitely a trading rather than an investing share.

Seems that the deal with KiQplan &Samsung partnership has propelled the share to still dizzy high's again today @ around 16.75p.This is now a very expensive share still defying gravity & due for a big correction when the crowd begin selling out. The big action has already happened, but will it still keep climbing?

Interesting marketing tactics with Amazon & Bestbuy.com coming in 2015. Contracts are agreed. This will accelerate the growth yet again into 2015. Will it change from a gamble to a successful business? It looks ready for another boost in an extremely over priced share price. Shares up 50% today on the news!

Kiqplan launch today has sent the price up again. Interesting to see an advert in Costco magazine regarding Fitbug about a month ago. Also good to see one of our members of our investment club bought one, with a big smile on his face because he had made some money from the Fitbug shares. Every extra sale counts! Will it reach 10p today?
