I know this forum is primarily for stock picking ideas, but the point I want to make is that guys like me should forget about picking out stocks and just follow the leader.
I have read that I am likely to overrate my stock picking abilities and that the best advice is to pick a method and stick to it.
I have very limited time available for research, plus I find myself quickly overwhelmed by the information.
But I still have an interest in companies and investing, I do not want to hand it over to a manager.
Surely that best thing for someone like me is just to copy one of the Guru screens or make a simple screen of my own with the top Stockrank stocks and copy that to the letter.
What do others think?
I think you are absolutely right and you are in the right place! The high stockranks are a good starting point but you also want to think about diversification and a strategy for when to buy and sell. The NAPS portfolio article is an interesting read on setting up a portfolio based on stock ranks.
