Morning All!

Versarien ( Versarien (LON:VRS) ) – 44.25p – £65.3m – PER 147.9

Interim Results For The 6 Months To End September 2017 – Revenues up by 167% to £4.38m (H1 2016: £1.64m), Loss Before Tax almost halved to £0.77m (H1 2016: £1.47m), Cash of £0.35m (£1.51m last time) and lots of bullish talk.

A guy down the pub told me about this (well, actually it was a very good long term friend (who is a software test manager) but you get the idea) when it was less than 20p a month or so ago - He said it was going to fly! I said thanks for the tip but I rarely invest in non-profit making companies with barely any Cash left. I may be wrong here, it looks interesting (but so did Applied Graphene Materials (LON:AGM) at 10x it’s current price) – I just prefer to be in less risky places for now.

Eve Sleep ( eve Sleep (LON:EVE) ) – 89p – £123.4m – PER n/a

Trading Update – Headlines with “Strong sales, acceleration of investment, on track for UK profitability in Q4 2018” – Group on track to make a profit in 2019. Marketing costs reducing significantly, seemingly targeting 35% from 64% in H1 2017.

Can’t see the fascination here – It’s a mattress, something we replace every 10 years or so, perhaps. I may be wrong and soon everyone will be using an Eve Sleep mattress. On the other hand the company may continue spending a fortune on advertising and end up dead in the water. It’s just not for me, I sleep well enough at night as it is, don’t need to potentially disrupt this (with the mattress or the holding)!

Redcentric ( Redcentric (LON:RCN) ) – 87.5p – £130.3m – PER 16

Interim Results For The 6 Months To End September 2017 – Headline is “Solid first six months with strong operating cash flows and a reduction in net debt”. Solid here means Revenue and Profits are flat and the Net Debt has been reduced a whopping 2.6%. The CEO comments “The issues surrounding the accounting misstatements have  been addressed and so…

My morning smallcap tweet:

eve Sleep (LON:EVE), Oxford Pharmascience (LON:OXP), HSS Hire (LON:HSS), LSL Property Services (LON:LSL)

eve Sleep (EVE) 11 months trading: UK rev better than exp at 105% up. Group rev up 130%. Exp UK Q4 profit "after marketing costs". Why say that? Of course after costs! No new FY guidance.
Oxford Pharmascience (OXP) FDA allows OXPzeroTM Ibuprofen formulations to be submitted for approval in the US without Phase III trials.
HSS Hire Group (HSS) Q3 in line but Oct marginally behind management expectations.
LSL Property Services (LSL) 10 month trading. Expects FY Underlying Operating Profit marginally ahead of its prior expectations.

Versarien (LON:VRS) has lots of cash after the £2.8m placing. Was a good time to enter then, the bloke down the pub was right on this occasion! It's a wild ride atm but I think it stands a good chance long term.
