Paul mentioned in his Friday report, that he is a recent Audible convert…. I can honestly say Audible has changed my life for the better! These days I probably spend at least an hour each day listening to audiobooks, in otherwise wasted time….

I totally agree and have migrated from books on cassette tapes, to CDs and in the last 3 years to Audible downloads. Ever hungry to discover investing gems I list below my current 5 favourite investment Audible books.    Other suggestions are most welcome?      Ian

Top 5 (in Historical Order)

Reminiscences of a Stock Operator – Written in 1923, about the life and times the momentum trader Jesse Livermore – Wonderfully scripted and engaging. I must have listened to this one on long boring journeys at least 5x.

Where Are the Customers' Yachts?: Or a Good Hard Look at Wall Street – Published back in 1940 and full of irony, this one will make you reappraise just who makes money from financial markets.

The Most Important Thing: Uncommon Sense for The Thoughtful Investor - Aimed at a value approach it reminds us that there are many many important aspects to investing.

The Little Book of Stock Market Profits – An introduction to market anomalies and hence factors that have beaten the market. If you like this one read its lesser known big brother; “The Handbook of Equity Market Anomalies”, which whilst heavy going has changed my investment thinking and made me more money than any other book.

The Naked Trader: How Anyone Can Make Money Trading Shares – Not a trading approach as the name suggests but a light hearted introduction to investing. Newbies can do a lot worse than his Mr Spock style. The new 2019 narration is somewhat mono-syllabic, but Robbies investing approach is logical and he recommends Stockopedia research tools.
