Board Changes

The Board of Aberdeen UK Smaller Companies Growth Trust plc (the "Company") is
very pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen (Steve) Russell as an
independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 April
2026.

 

Steve was, until 2025, Investment Director and a member of the multi asset
investment committee at Ruffer LLP, where he helped direct its investment
strategy. He joined Ruffer in 2003 and managed its flagship pooled funds and
developed its institutional pension fund offering into one of the largest
multi asset/absolute return fund managers in the UK. Steve previously managed
segregated pension funds at Sun Life of Canada and advised pension fund
managers as a strategist at HSBC. He is a Director of F&C Investment Trust
PLC.

 

There are no other disclosures required under Section 6.4.8 of the Listing
Rules in relation to this appointment.

 

Steve will stand for election at the Annual General Meeting to be held in
November 2026.

 

The Board also announces that Tim Scholefield will retire as a Director with
effect from the Annual General Meeting in November 2026. Tim has been a
Director of the Company for nine years, having been appointed in February
2017. The Board would like to thank him for his significant contribution over
this time.

 

It is the Board's intention that, following Tim's retirement, Steve will be
appointed as Senior Independent Director and Chairman of the Management
Engagement Committee.
