The benchmark S&P 500 index was marginally lower on Monday as a sharp drop in
crude oil prices weighed on energy stocks, and offset a rebound in financials
after Bank of America's strong results reinforced anticipation of a strong
earnings season. .N 

  At 11:34 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.03 percent at
25,026.64. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.14 percent at 2,797.39 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was down 0.17 percent at 7,812.78.
