PRESS RELEASE
The Hague, 10 January 2023
Claire Dumas to succeed Herman Dijkhuizen as Chief Financial Officer NIBC as
per 1 April 2023
The Supervisory Board of NIBC has appointed Claire Dumas (48) as Chief
Financial Officer and member of the Managing Board of NIBC, effective 1 April
2023. She will succeed Herman Dijkhuizen, who is stepping down on the same
date and will serve as advisor to the Board until 30 June 2023. This
appointment has already obtained the approval of the Dutch Central Bank and
the positive advice of the Works Council and shall be notified to the general
meeting scheduled for 23 March 2023.
Claire Dumas has broad experience in the financial industry and held various
senior positions at ABN AMRO including senior finance roles and the end
responsibility for the entire mortgage portfolio.
Dick Sluimers, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of NIBC
"Herman has been CFO since 2013 and is now working on his 10th annual report.
It feels like a natural moment to hand over the baton to Claire after
completing the 2022 annual report. On behalf of the Supervisory Board, I would
like to thank Herman for his pivotal role in building the strong organization
NIBC currently is and the inspiring and pleasant cooperation during all these
years.
Claire brings broad experience in the banking industry including lead finance
roles and end responsibility of a large mortgage portfolio. I trust that her
experience and personality will be of great added value to NIBC and the
Managing Board."
Paulus de Wilt, Chief Executive Officer at NIBC
"It has been an honour and a pleasure working with Herman over the past years.
I greatly value his broad experience, also outside the banking industry and
his senior leadership and guidance, both business wise as on a personal level.
At the same time I am looking forward to welcoming Claire to the Managing
Board and NIBC. She is a very talented person who has performed well in large
financial institutions. Also on a personal level she will be a great addition
to the team and I believe she will fit well in NIBC's entrepreneurial culture.
I look forward to a smooth transition over the coming months."
Herman Dijkhuizen, Chief Financial Officer at NIBC
"I have enjoyed working at NIBC for more than 9 years. I will cherish the
great people I have worked with over all these years, and I will always
remember and appreciate the professional, adaptive, cooperative and
entrepreneurial culture of the company."
