** Shares of UK-based investment trust abrdn New Dawn
Investment Trust  ABD.L  up as much as 9% to 270p 
    ** Stock on track for best day in over 14 years if gains
hold
    ** Top gainer on FTSE small cap index  .FTSC 
    ** Co enters head of terms with  Asia Dragon Trust  DGN.L 
for a proposed combination
    ** On approval, the combination will be processed by
reconstruction and winding up of co and transfer of parts of
assets and undertaking of ABD to Asia Dragon
    ** Under the terms, up to 25% cash exit opportunity will be
offered to ABD shareholders 
    ** Shares down 5% YTD
