The Board of abrdn Smaller Companies Income Trust plc declare a second interim
dividend of 2.40p per share in respect of the year to 31 December 2022 (second
interim 2021: 2.15p) payable on 22 July 2022 to shareholders on the register
at close of business on 1 July 2022. The ex-dividend date is 30 June 2022.

 

The Board continues to believe that a key purpose of the Company is the
generation of income for its shareholders and therefore maintaining the
dividend is valuable to shareholders. We shall of course continue to monitor
the economic outlook closely each quarter, particularly in view of uncertainty
created by recent geopolitical events and the global Covid-19 pandemic. The
Board is cognisant that it may have to take a different decision for future
dividends, once greater clarity emerges of the outlook for the remainder of
2022 and 2023.
