Intel is cutting its outlook, citing weak PC demand. This is What's News on WSJ
Live. I'm Lee Hawkins. The company is cutting its revenue outlook for the
current quarter by nearly a $1 billion, saying it seen weaker than expected
demand for business desktop computers and lower inventory levels across its
personal computer supply chain. Intel supplies most of the chips at services
calculating engines and PCs and server systems. The company is suffering as
customer spending has shifted from laptop computers to tablets and smartphones.
Markets where Intel chips have largely been ignored by hardware makers.

And Alibaba Group Holding Limited is investing in Snapchat Inc., a deal that
values the messaging company at $15 billion in the latest sign of escalating
valuations for technology startups. The Chinese ecommerce giant is investing
$200 million in Snapchat. That valuation marks a significant increase from about
$10 billion during a round of funding last year. And Honda Motor Company is
preparing to launch a widespread advertising campaign urging customers to take
recalled vehicles equipped with defected Takata Corp airbags to dealerships for
repairs. The multi-million dollar campaign is asking customers to check for open
recalls or other safety campaigns associated with the older Honda and Acura
models to ensure they get much needed repairs. For more and to follow these
stories, tune into WSJ Live or go to www.wsj.com. I'm Lee Hawkins
