U.S. stocks were struggling on Friday to extend their rally to a third straight
day, weighed down by a drop in the energy and technology sectors at the end of a
week that has seen the market swing wildly. .N 
    At 12:24 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.28 percent at
23,204.04. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.47 percent at 2,500.45 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was up 0.48 percent at 6,611.214.
