    Italy's biggest bank by assets took a further step on
Wednesday in a strategy to streamline its structure, announcing
the placement of a 12% stake in Turkish bank Yapi Kredi

    The lender posted a lower-than-expected fourth quarter net
loss driven by one-off costs and writedowns of problem loans,
while meeting its full-year underlying net profit target.

GMT) will follow the results release.
    The bank named Beatriz Lara Bartolomé and Diego De Giorgi to
replace Fabrizio Saccomanni and Martha Boeckenfeld as

    ATLANTIA  ATL.MI 
    The government has no intention of softening new rules that
make it easier to revoke motorway concessions even if part of
the ruling coalition remains opposed, a source in the Democratic
Party (PD) told Reuters late on Wednesday. The small Italia Viva
party, whose support is key for the government, opposes the rule
on concessions and has asked for changes before it is ratified.

    Italy's sixth-largest lender reported a fourth-quarter net
loss on Wednesday, due to one-off charges and further writedowns

    Ardian and Blackstone have offered around 300 million euros
for a real estate portofolio being sold by the bank, Il Sole 24
Ore said. According to the paper, the lender will soon decide
