ATHENS, June 6 (Reuters) - Greek banks said on Thursday
the European Central Bank (ECB) had approved their request to
resume payment of dividends for the first time in 16 years.
Eurobank, the country's largest by market volume, said it
received ECB approval to pay a cash dividend of 342 million
euros or 0.0933 euros per share.
"The amount corresponds to a 30% payout ratio of the net
profit for 2023," it said in a statement
Piraeus Bank said it got approval to distribute 79 million
euros and Alpha Bank ACBr.AT to distribute 122 million euros.
