Australian tech stocks track Wall Street higher, see best day in 2 weeks

** Australia's tech index  .AXIJ  gain as much as 2.5%, its
biggest intraday percentage gain since Sept 23
    ** Wall Street ended sharply higher on Tuesday, as Big
Techs, Microsoft and Apple bounced back as investors awaited
monthly payrolls data later this week  .N 
    ** Sector giant Afterpay  APT.AX , the top gainer on tech
index climbing as much as 4.9% to A$119.18, posts its best day
since Aug 6
    ** Software firms Xero Ltd  XRO.AX  and Altium  ALU.AX 
gained as much as 3.6% and 1.5%, respectively
    ** AXIJ down 0.7% this year as of last close, vs a 10%
increase in S&P/ASX 200 index  .AXJO
