ECONOMY
Italy's chronic tax evasion started to rise again four years ago after years of declines, and has been worse than thought, the latest government data showed on Monday.
ISTAT releases October consumer and business confidence data (0900 GMT).
DEBT
Treasury sells 1.75-2.0 billion euros 2.10% BTP Short bonds due August 26, 2027 and 1.0-1.5 billion euros 1.80% BTPei bonds due May 15, 2036. Subscriptions close at 1000 GMT.
The Treasury will also sell up to 9.50 bln euros in bonds at its October 30 auction.

UNICREDIT CRDI.MI
Commerzbank's CBKG.DE supervisory board is investigating whether its former CEO Manfred Knof violated his duties by meeting with UniCredit's CEO Andrea Orcel in September 2024 and not reporting it, a person with knowledge of the matter said on Monday.
(*) Europe's biggest asset manager Amundi AMUN.PA said on Tuesday it remained committed to serving UniCredit's clients and is open to continuing the partnership beyond 2027, though renewal terms have not yet been determined.

The CEO of the former mail monopoly Matteo Del Fante ruled out the possibility of becoming the next head of insurer Generali in an interview with Corriere della Sera daily published on Tuesday.

The two companies are leading a consortium preparing to take part in a tender to host one of the EU's five planned artificial intelligence gigafactories, La Repubblica newspaper reported on Tuesday. The tender is expected to be launched in December or January, the paper added.

The automaker's registrations in the European Union, Britain and the European Free Trade Association rose by 11.5% in September while the overall market increased by 10.7%, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) said on Tuesday.
The company has decided another temporary production stoppage at its Cassino plant, which makes Alfa Romeo and Maserati cars, during November 3-7, MF daily reported on Tuesday.

Italy's biggest utility is set to launch a newco for online gas and electricity offers, called Lene, as early as later on Tuesday, daily MF reported. The company, controlled by Enel Energia, will be headed by its Chief Procurement Officer Enrico Zampone, the paper added.

Hsbc said on Tuesday it has cut its rating on the energy group to 'hold' from 'buy'.

Turkey agreed to buy 20 new Eurofighter Typhoons from Britain for 8 billion pounds ($10.7 billion) on Monday, deepening the NATO allies' ties and bolstering Turkish air defences, as Ankara said it was also seeking 24 more jets from Gulf states.

The Italian aerospace company on Monday confirmed its 2025 guidance as it presented January-September results. It reported an order backlog of 1.86 million euros, up 8% from end-2024, and a reported EBIDTA of 15.2 million euros, up 25.9% year-on-year, reflecting higher revenues partly offset by increased energy costs.
