The S&P 500 edged higher in choppy trading on Friday as Amazon results lifted
the mood at the end of a week of volatile trading that saw mixed earnings from
Big Tech firms and a surprise jump in U.S. jobs growth.  .N 
    At 10:49 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.83% at
34,819.12. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.05% at 4,479.5 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was up 0.40% at 13,933.804.
