Response to AWEM Announcement
The Board of Asia Dragon Trust plc ("DGN" or the "Company") notes the
announcement this morning by Ashoka WhiteOak Emerging Markets Trust plc
("AWEM") regarding a proposal for the combination of the assets of DGN and
AWEM by way of a scheme of reconstruction of DGN pursuant to section 110 of
the Insolvency Act 1986 and a rollover of its assets into AWEM (the "AWEM
Proposals").
The Board confirms that it has received an approach from AWEM and urges
shareholders to take no action at this time in relation to the AWEM Proposals.
The Company will make a further announcement in due course.
