Australia's Audio Pixels climbs on advancement in development of digital speaker

** Shares of Audio Pixels  AKP.AX  rise as much as 8.4% to
A$29.70, their highest since March 8
    ** Digital speaker maker says it has produced both
individual chips, and multi-chip boards that operate and play
outside of the controlled testing area  urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nASX4y0MKk
    ** Co is currently in advanced stages of the development of
a board that is capable of driving between one to 80 chips
    ** An Audio Pixels speaker is a chip roughly 1mm thick which
directly converts a digital source into sound, radically smaller
than conventional speakers
    ** Stock posts its biggest intraday percentage gain since
March 19
    ** About 19,500 shares change hands, compared with the
30-day average volume of about7,800 shares
    ** Stock has risen 13.9% this year, as of last close
