       Jan 9 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers,
acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1500 GMT, on
Tuesday:

        ** Juniper Networks'  JNPR.N  shares climbed 23% in
premarket trading after reports Hewlett Packard Enterprise
 HPE.N  was nearing a $13 billion deal for the networking gear
maker to capitalize on the boom in artificial intelligence.

        ** German airline Lufthansa  LHAG.DE  has offered
remedies to address EU competition concerns about its bid to buy
a minority stake in Italian state-owned ITA Airways, EU
antitrust regulators said.

    ** Salmon, a consumer fintech firm backed by Abu Dhabi
sovereign wealth fund ADQ, is acquiring a majority stake in a
Philippine rural bank, the company said.

    ** GSK  GSK.L  said it would acquire asthma drug maker
Aiolos Bio in a deal worth up to $1.4 billion, as the British
drugmaker boosts its growing respiratory diseases portfolio.

    ** Zee Entertainment  ZEE.NS  said it was committed to the
merger with Sony's India unit, after reports said the
broadcaster was about to call off a $10 billion deal.

    ** Medical device maker Boston Scientific  BSX.N  said on
Monday it had agreed to buy Axonics Inc  AXNX.O  for $3.7
billion, gaining access to devices used to improve bladder
function.
