Piper Sandler sees 'positive' macro environment for medtech

** Brokerage Piper Sandler raises targets on many medtech
companies, including Boston Scientific  BSX.N  Teleflex  TFX.N 
and Stryker  SYK.N  
    ** Says, it recommends Alphatec Holdings  ATEC.O  and DexCom
 DXCM.O , with DexCom as its favorite pick of the year
    ** "We anticipate some concern around the political backdrop
here in the U.S. but doubt medtech will be pressured regardless
of who wins the Presidency" - Piper Sandler
    ** The brokerage sees little risk related to GLP-1 drugs for
medtech
    ** Adds that Boston Scientific's acquisition of Axonics
 AXNX.O  is a positive catalyst for the sector
    ** ATEC rose 22.4% and DXCM was up 9.6% in 2023
