Voting Rights and Capital

In conformity with Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1.R we would like to
notify the market of the following:

Baillie Gifford European Growth Trust plc capital consists of 402,443,690
ordinary shares with voting rights.  Baillie Gifford European Growth Trust
plc holds 43,854,317 ordinary shares in Treasury. Therefore, the total number
of voting rights in Baillie Gifford European Growth Trust plc is 358,589,373.

The above figure (358,589,373) may be used by shareholders as the denominator
for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to
notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Baillie Gifford
European Growth Trust plc under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
