Purchase of Own Securities

On 02 August 2023, the Company purchased 50,000 ordinary shares at a price of
169.91p. The shares purchased will be held in Treasury.

Following the purchase of the above shares 150,265,484 ordinary shares of 25p
each will remain in issue.  Baillie Gifford UK Growth Trust will hold
10,651,700 ordinary shares in Treasury.

The above figure (150,265,484) may be used by shareholders as the denominator
for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to
notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, The Baillie
Gifford UK Growth Trust plc under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
