** Shares in Greencore GNC.L up 1.4% at 252.5p and Bakkavor BAKK.L up 0.6% at 236p

** The two convenience food manufacturers get UK's competition regulator's nod to complete their proposed merger

** UK's Competition and Markets Authority says no in-depth probe into proposed deal

** Cos expect deal completion in January

** YTD, GNC up ~30%, while BAKK up ~62%
