** Cryptocurrency and blockchain-related companies' shares
rise premarket after bitcoin touches another record high
** Bitcoin BTC= , the world's largest cryptocurrency, has
gained post Donald Trump's win in hopes of a friendlier
regulatory environment for digital assets
** BTC also gained after the Financial Times reported that
Trump Media and Technology Group DJT.O is close to an
all-stock acquisition of crypto trading firm Bakkt BKKT.N
** Bitcoin is up 3.5% in session and is trading at an
all-time high of over $97,500; Ether ETH= also up 2.1%
** Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase Global COIN.O gains
3%; miners Riot Platforms RIOT.O , MARA Holdings MARA.O , and
U.S.-listed shares of Hut 8 HUT.O increase 3.5%, 8.9% and
4.3%, respectively
** Bitcoin miner CleanSpark CLSK.O adds 4.4%,
MicroStrategy MSTR.O , a major crypto bull, rises 9.5%
** iShares Bitcoin Trust IBIT.O advances 3.5% and
ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF BITO.P up 3.6%
** Bitcoin has doubled its value so far in 2024 while Ether
has gained ~33% YTD
