Adds details on CET1 ratio in paragraph 3
Aug 5 (Reuters) - Italy's Banca Popolare di Sondrio BPSI.MI on Tuesday posted a 27.6% rise in its first-half net profit, citing strong core banking revenues which grew by over 4%.
The group, majority-owned by Italy's fourth-largest bank BPER EMII.MI after a 5.44 billion euros ($6.29 billion) takeover bid, reported a first-half net profit of 336.2 million euros ($388.11 million).
The bank's common equity tier (CET1) capital ratio stood at 15%, incorporating an assumed payout of 75%, the bank said. That was in line with that of BPER, of which Banca Popolare di Sondrio is now part, the company said in the press release.
