COMPANIES

UNICREDIT CRDI.MI, BANCO BPM BAMI.MI

Unicredit on Tuesday announced it was withdrawing its 14.6 billion euro ($17 billion) all-share bid for Banco BPM, saying Italian government-imposed "golden power" conditions had derailed the deal.

UniCredit said a 30-day suspension of the bid which market watchdog Consob decided earlier on Tuesday was not sufficient to get to a point where all uncertainty around the scope of the government's powers would be cleared.

UniCredit releases H1 results (0500 GMT), followed by conference call (0800 GMT).

AZIMUT AZMT.MI

Italian asset manager said on Tuesday it had signed a binding accord to buy North Square Investments (NSI) in a cash-and-share deal valuing the U.S. peer at $165 million.

BANCA MONTE DEI PASCHI BMPS.MI

Italian investor Giorgio Girondi held a 3% stake in the Tuscan bank as of July 16, a filing by market regulator Consob showed on Tuesday.

POSTE ITALIANE PST.MI

The state-backed group's CEO Matteo Del Fante said on Tuesday there are no plans at the moment to apply for a banking licence.

MONCLER MONC.MI

Releases H1 results, followed by conference call (1600 GMT).

SAIPEM SPMI.MI

Releases H1 results.

BPER BANCA EMII.MI, Banca Popolare di Sondrio BPSI.MI

Full voluntary takeover bid on Banca Popolare di Sondrio continues; ends on July 25.

OLIDATA OLI.MI

CEO Claudia Quadrino has resigned and left the company with immediate effect following "reciprocal misunderstandings and disagreements" with other company executives, the IT company said in a statement on Tuesday.

JUVENTUS FC JUVE.MI

The Italian football club said on Tuesday that it has reached an agreement with Porto FC for the purchase of Portuguese winger Francisco Conceição for 30.4 million euros ($35.71 million).
