DATA

Poland's statistics office will release data on employment, industrial output, PPI and corporate sector wages at 0800.

ORLEN

Polish energy group Orlen reported a nearly 74% rise in its second-quarter adjusted core profit, with a strong upstream performance helping to offset the impact of lower refining margins and asset write-downs.

PEKAO

State-controlled bank Pekao PEO.WA is demanding that advisers to the board of directors who worked for the company under the previous nationalist Law and Justice (PiS) government return their remuneration, Gazeta Wyborcza daily reported.

AIRPORTS

In the first seven months of 2025 there were over 36 million passengers in Polish airports, Rzeczpospolita daily reported. Poland has the fastest growing number of passengers at its airports in the European Union, according to the newspaper.

WIND FARMS

An IBRiS survey for Rzeczpospolita shows that 55.8% of Poles think that the president should sign a bill liberalising the rules about building wind farms into law.

TAX

The government is working on at least three new taxes - on big tech, on banks and on retailers, Gazeta Wyborcza reported. The government is under increasing pressure to find funds, according to the newspaper.

Meanwhile, Poland wants to raise excise tax on alcohol by 15% in 2026 and 10% in 2027, Puls Biznesu daily reported.

SOLORZ

Polish billionaire Zygmunt Solorz, his wife Justyna Kulka and his lawyer were removed from the board of energy company PAK-Polska Czysta Energia on Monday, Puls Biznesu reported. However, a court has found possible errors in the way the board meeting that decided the move was called.
