The following factors could affect Italian markets on Monday.

    GENERAL
    Italy reported 56,263 new COVID-19 related cases on Sunday,
against 70,520 the day before, the health ministry said, while

    ECONOMY
    A recession in Italy is unlikely as the conflict in Ukraine,
despite being "serious and terrible", does not have the same
global dimension the 2009 financial crisis and the pandemic had,
the governor of the Bank of Italy, Ignazio Visco, said in an
interview with RAI's news programme TG3 on Saturday. Visco added
that Italy would be able to bear the impact of sanctions imposed
on Russia. 
      
    DEBT
    Italy's Treasury said on Friday it would offer 5 billion

    Rating agency S&P Global affirmed Italy's 'BBB/A-2'
sovereign rating on Friday, with a positive outlook, due to the
comprehensive pro-growth reforms that the Italian authorities
are implementing under the national Recovery Plan. 
    The agency added that as a consequence of the conflict in
Ukraine it cut Italy's gross domestic product (GDP) growth
projection for this year to 3.1% from a previous 4.4%

    COMPANIES
    GENERALI  GASI.MI  
    Investors British Columbia Investment Management Corporation
(BCI) and Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS) will both
vote in favour of the slate submitted by the insurer's board,
the websites of the groups showed. 
    Outgoing chief executive Philippe Donnet is the best
candidate to lead the insurer in the next three years, the
Chairman of Italian publisher De Agostini said in an interview
with Corriere della Sera published on Saturday. De Agostini has
started selling 1.44% stake in Generali but has held on to its
voting rights for the upcoming shareholders' meeting, "as the
presentation of a slate by the outgoing board is a historical
moment both for Generali and Italy," Drago said.
    
    TELECOM ITALIA (TIM)  TLIT.MI  
    Chief Executive Pietro Labriola said that France's Iliad has
not communicated - officially or informally - its interest in
the Italian phone group's services business, speaking in an
interview with Milano Finanza. 
    Asked about contacts with Italy's export insurer SACE over a
credit line, Labriola said the option could be interesting and
that TIM is examining it along with others: "There is nothing
definite, more details will come further on". 
    The CEO added that the group would have to assess the
importance of contracts for exclusive broadcasting rights in the
future, when asked about the prospects of TIM's business with
sport streaming service DAZN.

    The holding of Agnelli family said on Friday it would
acquire 45% of Lifenet Healthcare, for a total investment of 67

    The producer of automotive components posted on Friday core
earnings of 50 million euros in the first quarter, down from 54

    The oil company said on Friday it will hold an extraordinary
shareholders' meeting for May 17 to vote on a planned 2 billion

    BANCA POPOLARE DI SONDRIO  BPSI.MI , UNIPOL  UNPI.MI  
    The bank is working to find further developments to its
partnership with insurer Unipol, as it prepares to present a new
business plan in June, the Chief Executive of the lender, Mario
Pedranzini, told Il Sole 24 Ore in an interview published on
Saturday. 
    
    FERRARI  RACE.MI  
    The group is not looking at mergers but rather partnerships,
Chief Executive Benedetto Vigna told Il Sole 24 Ore in an
interview published on Sunday, adding that in his first 100 days
at Ferrari he had met with at least 40 companies he knew from
his past managerial experience. 
    Formula One world champion Max Verstappen won at Imola for
the second year in a row in a Red Bull one-two on Sunday as
Ferrari's home race turned into a nightmare for the Italian

    Champions Inter Milan moved to the top of the Serie A
standings after they earned a 3-1 victory over AS Roma on

    Trades ex-dividend of 0.055 euro per ordinary share and of
0.285 euro per saving share.
    
    BFC Media  BBFC.MI 
    IDI Srl starts full mandatory takeover bid on BFC Media
