U.S. stocks rose nearly 1% on Friday, taking comfort from October data that
showed U.S. jobs growth slowed less than expected and China's factory activity
expanded at its fastest pace in more than two years.  .N 
    At 10:58 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.93% at
27,298.79. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.80% at 3,061.86 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was up 0.90% at 8,367.127.
