Biocartis shares jumps on launch of assay for detection of lung cancer

** Shares in Biocartis  BCART.BR  rise 6.3% as the Belgian
diagnostics company had launched its Idylla GeneFusion Panel
assay for fast-detection of alterations on non-small cell lung
cancer (NSCLC)
    ** The panel detects in one single cartridge a wide range of
targets relevant in non-small cell lung cancer, and provides
comprehensive testing results within 180 minutes with a limited

    ** "Biocartis's lung cancer menu now covers a vast majority
of actionable NSCLC mutations with high accuracy and short time
to results", KBC notes
    ** The broker also points at potential for Biocartis to
partner with pharma groups 
    ** "We anticipate GeneFusion to become of the main drivers
for Biocartis' topline in the coming years", it says
